I'm here!!!!!

Finally!!! I'm home!!! hehe

Still can't forget how Clarence looked when he fetched me from Davao to go to his hometown, Catbalogan, Samar...

He was so shocked to see me 12 lbs lighter that he couldn't speak! He just stood there at the door of Dermclinic in Davao, dumbfounded. I just had my hair dyed red, so I thought he didn't like the color. So I asked him what was wrong with me?

He said, "Sino ka?!!! Di ikaw yung girlfriend na iniwan ko dito!"

Bwahaha...so the pomelo diet and bellydancing worked after all.

Wish I could maintain it now that I'm back amidst all the wonderful food here in Manila.

The Venue

at long last! got good pictures of the wedding reception venue with the help of dad and gigi and of course marti makulit.
the blue leaf events pavilion is located in one of the poshest addresses in metro manila: the mckinley hill village at the fort.
after our sunday morning ritual of visiting mom at the heritage park, dad, marti and i went to blue leaf to take pictures of the venue. lots of real estate development there from two-storey houses to high-rise condominiums and all were very elegant and classy. in the afternoon, dad and gigi went back to get photos of the c5 road facade...thanks gi!

Finally...the bride to be

i'm here in a internet cafe at SM Davao, just escaped for a few minutes from the job that brought me here...

it's so lonely out here: don't know anyone, wake up at 9am, go home at 9pm, and go to church every Sunday...

the only thing that makes me happy is the time i'd be able to sneak a couple of minutes to be able to have internet access...and see this beautiful blog

thanks aplenty to the maid of honor for making this blog, hehe comes to show how much she loves me? or has too much time on her hands to spare...

sorry i couldn't do much for the wedding while i'm here, but every night i get nightmares of botched up wedding scenes...ugh...

thank you to all those people who find the time to visit...i'll be looking forward to seeing you on the big day...

think of it...not just some wedding...but a long awaited reunion...and the happiest event in such a long time...

see you in a few months!!!

A Godsent Song

was talking to aunt baby the other day and she told me that many of the relatives were checking out the blog to be updated on the wedding. she suggested putting a background song to make it more interesting so i went surfing for the most fitting song. originally, i wanted to put "air on g string" by johann sebastian bach which is quite popular as a wedding march song. spent almost the entire evening searching and listening to all the versions of air and none really was good enough.

anyway, after so many hours i told myself i'll pick the first female ballad i can find! came across mp3-codes.com, randomly picked a song and embeded it to the blog. after which i listened to the song and realized it was so heart-felt and so right for cha and clarence! couldn't believe it wasn't popular at all but i was sure that cha would love it right away. following day i sent a text to cha and joked that i found her and clarence's theme song so she better check the blog. she couldn't access the blog at first due to server downtime at sm davao. but tonight while we were chatting and she finally was able to hear it she told me that she had been singing that very song to clarence for the longest time! we were so amazed that i felt a chill all over! cha put it best when she said that our vibes were still very much in tune...yeah, we were always a little psychic even way before...funny.

here are the lyrics, you'll know what i mean:

I Could Not Ask for More by Sarah Evans

Lying here with you
Listening to the rain
Smiling just to see the smile upon your face
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
And these are the moments
I'll remember all my life
I've found all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more

Looking in your eyes
Seeing all I need
Everything you are is everything to me
These are the moments
I know heaven must exist
And these are the moments
I know all I need is this
I've found all I've waited for,yeah
And I could not ask for more

I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
And every prayer has been answered
Every dream I've had's come true
Yeah, right here in this moment
Is right where I'm meant to be
Here with you here with me
Yeah

These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
And these are the moments I'll remember all my life
I've found all I've waited for, yeah
And I could not ask for more
I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
And every prayer has been answered
Every dream I've had's come true
Yeah, right here in this moment
Is right where I'm meant to be
Oh, here with you here with me
No, I could not ask for more
Than this love you gave me
Cause it's all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
No, yeah
No, I could not ask for more

The Church

there's a touching story behind choosing this church for cha and clarence's wedding:

was bugging cha about getting a church as early as january 2008 and everytime i recommended one she would comment either it doesn't have a long aisle, that one doesn't have airconditioning, or if she liked the church it would turn out to be booked or closed on their wedding day which falls on a monday (usually off days for church administration).

anyway, was so frustrated and so nervous that we might not be able to get a very nice church that i vented to my friends about it during one of our get-togethers. my friend ronald who is a professional photographer suggested i check out this beautiful church where he recently covered a wedding. he promised to send me pictures and when i saw them i quickly called cha and told her about it. she was also getting nervous by that time and was praying help from our mom to help her find a beautiful church for her wedding.

the following day clarence went to the church and envisioned right away how cha would look walking down that very long aisle. he knew right away that this was it! whispering a desperate prayer, he asked the administrator if 4:00 pm december 29 was still available and it was! he paid the downpayment right there and then. later when he told cha about the church and said that the church's name is st. therese (pronounced as teres) she almost cried remembering her prayer to our mom whose name was teresita, after the same saint since her birthday was on st. therese's feast day as well.
